At NAWIC North East and Tees Valley, we are part of National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing women in the construction industry.
Founded in the UK & Ireland in 2003, NAWIC is powered by volunteers working across construction, from site to boardroom. In our regions, we bring that mission to life through meaningful events, professional development and community support.
To change the narrative for Women in the workplace, our key objectives are:

Our committee regularly visits schools and colleges across the North East and Tees Valley to showcase the wide range of roles available within the industry - from technical and site-based careers to commercial, design and leadership positions.
By sharing real-life experiences and role models, we aim to break down stereotypes and demonstrate that construction offers exciting, rewarding and long-term career opportunities.
